Learn about our life on a weekend together. Join us for dinner on Friday evening. Spend Saturday hearing firsthand accounts about community life from a wide variety of members. Participate in an elegant meal on Saturday evening to open the Lord’s Day. Return on Sunday just before noon and finish as our guests at the People of Praise Community Meeting at 3:30 p.m.
Who makes up the People of Praise?
The People of Praise is a large family of families and singles. We are youth and adults, widows and widowers, married and single parents, clergy and laypeople, old and young.
The People of Praise members are from all walks of life. We are nurses, teachers, students, psychiatrists, business people, federal employees, clerks, electricians, repairmen, programmers, salesmen, clerks, lawyers, homemakers, volunteers and retired persons.
The People of Praise is people like you.
What happens on the weekend? You will meet many members of our branch, from all walks of life and ages and hear what the Lord has been doing in and through our relationships.
As you hear members describe their lives in People of Praise, you will find out what is important to us. By just being with us for a weekend you will get a good view of who we are and what we're like.
There will be plenty of time for questions. We share honestly and openly. There's no obligation. No pressure. We want you to see and hear it all firsthand.

What is the People of Praise
We're a Christian, ecumenical and charismatic community sharing our lives together to change our part of the world.
Christian: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and is alive in his people today.
Ecumenical: We recognize we are all sons and daughters of God. We respect our denominational differences and share as fully as possible in a common life and work.
Charismatic: We live this life through the power of God's Holy Spirit, using the gifts of healing, prophecy and tongues.
Community: We love and serve one another in Christ - with success and occasional failure - in our day-to-day ordinary life at home, workplaces and neighborhoods.
"Men and women in the People of Praise see one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. We work very hard to relate to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ."
